Career Check

This skill routes to pm-career-ladder, which maps PM levels across multiple company types and provides gap analysis tools.

When to use this:
- Feeling stuck in your current level and unsure what to change
- Preparing for a promotion conversation with your manager
- Comparing yourself to the expectations of your target level
- Identifying the highest-leverage skill to develop in the next 90 days
- Deciding whether to pursue IC (Individual Contributor) or Management track

What pm-career-ladder covers:
- PM level definitions: APM → PM → Sr PM → Staff/Principal PM → GPM → Director → VP → CPO
- Three evaluation axes at each level: Scope (product), Impact (business), Influence (organization)
- IC vs. Management track split — when each makes sense and how to choose
- Company archetype mapping: Big Tech levels vs. Series A/B startup vs. growth-stage vs. enterprise

5. Build a 90-day development plan with specific weekly actions
6. Draft the promotion narrative you should be telling your manager now
